If you have 2 or 3 children, you can split the lesson times and packages. For example, you can purchase 10, 60 min lessons. It could be 30 mins each for 10 lessons or 5, 1 hr lessons for each child. 3 children can also split the hour (20 minutes each).
Sorry, we do not.
The youngest is 3 years old.
We do not have a set location. Lessons are taught at your own pool.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a location. You would have to provide one. Most public places do not allow private lessons.
This depends on what the goals of the students are. Some may want just basic survival skills and others may want to learn to swim laps. Every swimmer is different and learns at different rates. For example, there are students who take 2 lessons to learn to tread, float, and swim to the wall. Others may take 10 or more lessons to perfect their freestyle.
Our lessons are in a private setting, so you don’t feel embarrassed or overwhelmed. We will teach you at your own pace.
Yes, as long as there is no lightning or thunder.
We do not offer make-up time for late lessons. We are respectful of everyone’s time and cannot extend for a student’s delay. We will only finish whatever the remaining time is for that day. For example, if you arrive 10 mins late for a 30 min class, we would finish the remaining 20 mins for that day.
Swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, goggles, swim cap (for medium and long hair), and payment
If you will be in the sun, please apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes prior to class. This will keep the sunscreen on your skin and out of the pool water. If possible, rinse off before entering the pool. No eating at least 1 hour before lesson start time.
Yes
Typically pools do not require heating June-August, or whenever it’s been consistently over 88+ degrees outside. If it’s during spring or fall, we suggest heating anywhere between 86-89 degrees. The warmth helps students focus better and adjust to the water more easily.
No, if you are unable to finish your package of 10 lessons, you can transfer the lessons to another student. Lessons not used by the end of the calendar year will be forfeited. Students will not receive credit to complete packages for the following year.
We accept cash (preferred), Zelle, and check.
We do not.
Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make class. Students will be charged the full amount if there is a no show. There is an exception for students who are sick or have an emergency.
If you do not feel well, please rest and we can schedule class another time. Please do not attend class if you had diarrhea, fever, vomit, or severe runny nose/cough within the last 24 hours. Students who had COVID may return to class when they test negative. If students are in close contact with a positive person, I would like to wait at least 7 days before teaching them.
I will also let students know if I am in contact or not feeling well too. Being healthy and safe is most important.
